It lists garage doors as a use, but never mentions that rolling-code garage remotes can't be copied, which the other RF hubs here state plainly.

Why we'd skip it

  • Garage doors are named in the title and bullets, with no mention of rolling codes.
  • BroadLink and Toyanc both say rolling-code devices aren't supported, and most garage remotes made in the last 25 years use rolling codes.
  • RF devices don't support voice control, per its own last bullet.
  • 3.1 stars, the lowest of the RF hubs here.

Buyer's guide

What does an RF bridge do?

It learns the signals from 433 MHz remotes, doorbells, and sensors so you can trigger them from an app or a smart home hub. Most handle only fixed-code remotes, not the rolling-code remotes used by garage doors and car fobs.

What is an SDR receiver for?

A software-defined radio USB stick can listen to many 433 MHz and 915 MHz weather sensors at once. With rtl_433 and Home Assistant, it turns cheap weather and temperature sensors into smart home data. It only receives; it can't send commands.

Is any of this plug and play?

The Wi-Fi IR/RF hubs are app-based and fairly easy. SDR sticks and custom firmware are hobbyist projects that need some comfort with Linux or Home Assistant add-ons.
