A system records every camera to one recorder (NVR) in your home, usually continuously and with no monthly fee. Individual cameras are easier to install but usually record motion clips to the cloud or an SD card.
PoE cameras get power and data over one Ethernet cable, which is more reliable and needs no outlet near the camera. Wi-Fi systems are easier to install but depend on signal strength.
